Thought I'd provide a brief update regarding the wonderful World of Warcraft.

See, I haven't been running dungeons, raiding, or even doing dailies.  You might be shocked to know that I still haven't used the random dungeon finder nor have I ran any new dungeons from Trial of the whathaveyou or beyond.  (Nope, no jousting runs, and no Pit or Reflection or any of that).

Shocking?  Perhaps.  But I'm still having fun and I'm busy.

I've been getting some achievements accomplished.  They may look a little odd along the sidebar there (and that widget is not very good at updating promptly, by the way) since there are several old Azeroth lowbie dungeons on there.  See, when I leveled Syrana it was before they first sped it up during The Burning Crusade, but I still leveled her quickly.  She rarely ran with a level appropriate group on her way up and if I was getting a run through for experience/quests or gear, it wasn't always the whole run…. plus, she was leveled to cap before the achievement system went in and sometimes things didn't count when they should have.

Anywho…

So, I finally learned how to beat the crap out of you with four different weapons: my staff, my dagger, my wand, or my fists.

You know this will end up being a Feat of Strength.  So, yay me!

I'm also still pluggin' away at Loremaster.  Before I took my gaming and blogging hiatus, I had taken a break from chasing quests all over Azeroth.  I'm not sure that I'll complete the meta-achievement before Cataclysm hits, but I want to at least complete the Kalimdor and Eastern Kingdoms portions.

I dunno, something about seeing (nearly) all of what the old world offered us all these years is satisfying to me before it gets reworked.  Don't get me wrong, I'm looking forward to it being reworked – very much so! – but I don't want any regrets.

I know I'm still not finding/completing/experiencing every single quest out there, but I'm taking on a big portion of them.  And! I have found some that I never knew existed!

What's my progress, you ask?  Oh right!  Take a look…..

Woo! Those are my counts as of Tuesday evening when I logged off to write this lovely post for you.  I'd say I'm in the old Azeroth home stretch, eh?

Welcome

We are a family of gamers. Mom (Darcy/Syrana) and Dad (Brian/Sideshow) have been gaming for as long as they can remember back when you only had a joystick to use and saved your games to cassette tapes.

They've been gaming together since they met in 2002. Sometime after 2006, they both started playing World of Warcraft and did that for many years. They started this blog, originally called Sideshow & Syrana which has now transitioned to the new Stay-At-Home Gamers site, while keeping all of the original content.

Starting in 2010, two more gamers came along (now known as Princess Boo and Mr. X) and they are now old enough where they both enjoy playing games and watching others play games. They are both excited to have others to watch them play their favorite games. Come along with us and let's enjoy these games together!
