Woohoo! Let me tell ya, I was thrilled to be done with work yesterday… it meant.. no returning to the office until next Tuesday!  However, we don't actually fly out until Thursday.  Anywho, for those interested in knowing what we plan to be up to, here's our itinerary thus far based on the latest schedule released.

(Please note this schedule is subject to change.  I shall not be held accountable if I am oddly missing from a panel.  I shall be the most visible on Friday.  I shall stop talking in parenthesis.)

Wednesday:

  • Squee
  • Do laundry
  • Start packing
  • Play WoW and other “I don't have to work today” stuff

Thursday:

  • Finish packing
  • Flight out of Milwaukee around 3:45pm CST
  • Make a pitstop in Denver
  • Arrive in California around 7:20pm PST
  • Check into hotel
  • Go to the convention center to pick up badges and goody bags before 10pm PST
  • Try to attend WoW.com meetup if it's still rockin' after badge pickup (meetup starts at 7:30pm)

Friday:

  • Opening Ceremony 11:30am-12pm
This is why we'll be visible Friday...

  • WoW Preview Panel 12:30pm-1:30pm (Who isn't going to pop in to see what that's about? Expansion?)
  • WoW Art 2pm-3pm OR Richard Knaak book signing
  • The Guild 3:30pm-4:30pm
  • Might do the Blizzard Cinematics panel 5pm-6pm.  Not sure I want to attend the Classes, Items, Professions panels on each day.  I'm sorta wishing there would still have been a class specific panel.  I don't want to miss any good warlocky stuff…
  • Costume Contest 6pm (Observe only, not entering unfortunately)

Saturday:

  • Breaking into the Gaming Industry 10am-11am
  • WoW Game Systems 11:30am-12:30pm OR Christie Golden book signing 12pm-1pm
  • WoW Dungeons & Raids 1pm-2pm
  • WoW Classes, Items, and Professions 2:30pm-3:30pm
  • Closing Ceremony and concert with Ozzy \m/ 6:30pm-8:30pm

Sunday:

  • Fly out of Cali at 11am PST
  • Arrive in Milwaukee around 6:30pm CST
  • Sleep

Oh and eating, potty breaks, and shopping intertwined throughout the schedule, of course. 😉

If anyone wants to plan any other meetups not on this schedule (whether it's just lunch or whatever) please feel free to comment here, contact me here, or tweet me.

During the ‘con, Twitter will probably be the easiest way to track me down.  And don't worry if you are planning some extra time during a panel I have listed above, because we might not hit all of them.  This is just my ideal schedule right now.

Welcome

We are a family of gamers. Mom (Darcy/Syrana) and Dad (Brian/Sideshow) have been gaming for as long as they can remember back when you only had a joystick to use and saved your games to cassette tapes.

They've been gaming together since they met in 2002. Sometime after 2006, they both started playing World of Warcraft and did that for many years. They started this blog, originally called Sideshow & Syrana which has now transitioned to the new Stay-At-Home Gamers site, while keeping all of the original content.

Starting in 2010, two more gamers came along (now known as Princess Boo and Mr. X) and they are now old enough where they both enjoy playing games and watching others play games. They are both excited to have others to watch them play their favorite games. Come along with us and let's enjoy these games together!
