Generation 1: Darcy and Brian (continued)
Despite Aerissa's introversion after the birth of her second baby brother, Caleb, the family continued life as usual. Well, as usual as it could be for them. Darcy continued to write articles for magazines and added chapters to her novel while on maternity leave. Xander followed in his big sister's footsteps and opted to play space captain in the toy box.
Since Darcy was at home taking care of two rambunctious boys all day long, she was often exhausted by the time Brian returned home from the lab. Thankfully, he had no qualms about helping to care for the boys throughout the night. Oftentimes he would not even wake Darcy if Caleb or Xander cried out in the middle of the night; he would just tend to their needs and return to sleep.
The days and weeks flew by after Darcy returned to work. Since Darcy's and Brian's work schedules overlapped on several days, they had to hire a baby-sitter service to care for the boys while they were at work and Aerissa was at school. Before long, it was Xander's birthday…
…and Brian's!
